  1. Long ago people used to find treasures hidden in the ground, especially in forts and bogs.
About six months ago a hidden treasure was found in Longford bog, by two men while they were cutting turf. One of them found that the spade would not go into the mud. They dug the mud from around the place where they found the thing that was stopping the spade.
When they had all cleared away they found that it was a tub. They washed the mud off it, and they got a hammer and opened it and they found that it was butter. It had not gone bad it was as good as the first day.
A man named Mike Mulligan found it and his work man.
