the mother was from home and the door on hasp as usual but the doctors left the tell tale remains of the torture trial behind them. The Canon was furious when he heard of this torture business and did every thing to trace the culprits without avail.
At end of seven years the girl Nancy Kavanagh wakened up and lived in in the cabin for a while but being now a cynosure to all eyes she stole away from the district and settled down in County Tyrone.
The last that was heard of her locally was that she was married in Co. Tyrone.

Old men here still remember the Sleeping Beauty "Nancy Kavanagh".
