- On St. Stephen's day the boys go round with the wren and the money they get they have a wren dance for it in some house. On Christmas day the people have a big feast. On Easter Sunday the children have a big fire and boil eggs. On the 1st of May the people wash their faces in the morning dew and dry their faces in a towel that was never waft or spun to prevent their faces of suntanned. On Whit Sunday they wear white clothes. On the 16th August they go on a pilgrimage. On good Friday they go to the Chapel to make the Stations of the Cross. On St. Patricks day the people wear a piece of shamrock in their coats in honour of St. Patrick. On Ash Wednesday the people put ashes on their foreheads. On St. John's day they light bonfires and on the 29th of June they light bonfires also. On Hallow Eve they duck for apples and(continues on next page)
