- On Christmas Day many old customs are done. Holly is put up in the windows and on the walls. Candles are lighted by the youngest per-son of the house, and put in the windows. This is done to welcome the Blessed Virgin, as there was no welcome for her when she went to Bethelem.
On St. Stephen's Day men and boys dress up in old clothes and go around from house to house playing fiddles, mouth-organs and many other ins-triments. They generally say this little verse.
