    On St. Brighid's Eve crosses are made and hung up in order to have luck the following year. These crosses are made by putting two sticks together in the form of a cross and then winding rushes or straw round them.
    People wear the sham-rocks on St. Patricks Day. the children also wear harps. Long ago the men went to the town and got drunk, this was called "drowning the shamrocks.
    On May Day a May bush is put out in front of the door, and covered with red ribbons and egg shells. The well is also cleaned out
