    or as required. They both in their time built many of the castles in Ireland. At the time which we write Gobán Saor was a fairly old man and the son was not young either. The father wished to have his son married before he died himself. So he called his son to where he was sitting at the fire and says he, "Gobán it is time for you to get married. And on this very day you will go in search of a wife and you take that sheep skin that's folded up there on the chest and any girl that buys that skin from you and gives you the price of it back you can marry that girl". So young Gobán set out and travelled far and wide in search of a wife. After travelling for many weeks he found it impossible to get any girl to buy the skin and give him back the price of it but there was one girl he took a special liking to and he said to himself that he would take her home to see if she would do. So he took her home and told old Gobán that he wished to marry this girl. There was a
