- All through Ireland, there are old ruins and old stones scattered here and there. Mullagh is not far behind in that respect. In the new graveyard, outside Mullagh, there is an old stone called an "Oghan Stone."
This stone was in the old graveyard first. Then, it was brought to Killinkere by Rev. Fr. Meehan when he was leaving Mullagh. It did not remain long there until it was brought back to Mullagh again by Rev. Fr. Osborne who had a great interest in things like that. He put it in the new graveyard and it is there ever since.
When people have nothing better to amuse them, they often go into the new graveyard and look at it. It is about 1 1/2 feet long and around the edges of it there is branchy kind of writing. No one knows what the(continues on next page)- Collector
