    Very surprised he was to find that it ran in to the cottage of one of his neighbours. He went to the door and the man of the house came out in a state of great excitement and said "Thank God you have come! something terrible has happened to my wife out in the fields. Her leg appears to be shattered as if she was shot and she is bleeding to death."
    I did not hear what the farmer did to help the woman but I did hear that he knew, then, that the woman and the hare were one and that it was by magical power the butter was taken off his cow's milk.
