  2. My father can make a sling out of two cords and a piece of leather.
    Thomas Connelly, [heiter?], Kingscourt, Co. Cavan could make a 'dancing master.' He got a piece of wood and shaped it like a man. He tied this figure on wires, sat it on the floor, and it danced.

  3. My father could make a whip by plaiting rushes together. He could make a badge, by removing the soft part of the rushes, and twisting the peels in and out through one another.
    He could also make a whistle by removing the inside portion of the horse-chestnut
