    Got his rent fixed, and his house nicelt thatched.
    Says he "I'll endeavour to share that maid's charms,
    And before the sun sets, I'll rattle her latch".
    Say Andy "Faith, Nancy, I'm not like the rest of the fellows,
    Faith, I am the gossoon will warm your shins,
    You can sit in the corner and blow the fan-bellows,
    I'll keep you in turf, if you'll keep me in wind."
    Says Terry Reilly "I'll fish for that maiden,
    I'll worm my hook, and I'll cobble my net,
    While other young fellows will go serenading,
    I'll throw out a bait that she'll nibble at it.
    My cork it shall float on a pint of good whiskey,
    I'll warm her well with the real mountain dew,
    And just when I get her a little bit frisky,
    I'll ask her be mine, and what else would she do."
    Young Johnnie more active, he spoke of love's fire,
    He said that a flame was consuming his heart,
    And he vowed on her doorstep some night he'd expire,
    If she wouldn't cure him, and take back the dart.
    "For Cupid," he said "from her eye shot an arrow,
    That pierced through his waistcoat and kindled his frame
