It was given this name long ago owing to a lime kiln being in it. On another farm is the field called the Garry Dub. It is named so because it is rough and uneven. Also the clay is very black in places owing to a bog being beside it. The Far field is the field farthest from the house, and the Rock field is the field that is all rocks. On another man's ground is the field called the Kiln. It was given this name long ago owing to a lime kiln in it. The Nab is so called because it is a round hill top.
