- Long ago there was a giant buried on the top of Loughen Lea mountain. It was filled up with stones again. A women named "Caílín na Neart", carried the stones to the top of the cairn on her apron. She died 1,000 years ago.
There is a stone buried down very deep on the top of the cairn with the track of the giants foot in it. He put his foot on it and it left the track. A good many years ago "sappers" dug for it and got it.
