If the new moon looks sharp it is the sign of frost. If the stars look sharp and a lot of in the sky it is the sign of frost.
If the cat lies with its back to the fire it is the sign of storm. If the sea birds fly far out in the sea it is the sign of good weather. If there is a blue blaze in the fire it is the sign of storm. If there is a mist in the meadows at night it is for good weather.
When the sun sets red it is the sign of good weather or frost. When dust flies on the road it is the sign of good weather. When a dog is seen eating grass it is the sign of rain. When the wind comes from the East it is the sign of dry weather. The hen knows when the rain is coming because she runs for shelter.
