  2. They used to weave their own linen in the houses long ago. They bleached it first. There is a place down in [?] called "The Bleach" where in olden times they bleached the linen.
The linen was bleached by the side of a river in a nearby place. The water was poured over it from time to time to help the bleaching process. The linen was made into shirts, sheets, table-cloths etc in the home.
Some of the unbleached linen was sent to the blue-dyer, & dyed blue. This was of coarse texture, & was called "drogged" (Droguet) & was made into jackets.
Blankets were made from wool of the sheep.
