  1. 1) Saw a daughter of Daniel O'Connell's that has lately from England sailed o'er.
Come for the wake on my brother, that slumbers round Erin's green shore.
I quickly addressed this. Young damsel.
Come jewel, come tell me your name.
Really to me you're a stranger. I might never ask you the same
    I'm a daughter of Daniel O'Connell that's lately from England sailed o'er.
I came for the wake on my brother that slumbers round Erin's green shore
    (2)
Her eyes are like two sparkly diamonds, or stars of a clear frosty night.
And her cheeks are like two blooming posies,
And her skin is an ivory white.
She was dressed in the richest attire, and green was the mantle she wore.
It was trimmed with the roses and shammrocks that flourishes around Erin's green shore.
May the Powers above be his guardian
She's the beamy wee flower of the ralley
And the Pride of Erin's green shore.
