    Come all ye young men that are wished to get married.

    Come all ye young men that are wished to get married
    I pray, pay attention to what I relate
    I'm going to exhibit a few simple verses
    Concerning young ladies that does dress so neat.

    For the clothing they wear they call it primsetta
    With a stripe of black velvet all trimmed round their tail
    Their shoes are all made of the nice varnish leather
    And yet above all hey must hoise up their veils.

    I went to the fair with my heart like a feather
    For to treat a sweetheart, sure it was my design,
    I meet them to lassies just walking together
    And them neatly dressed in their prinsetta so fine
