  1. Long ago before banks were established people hid their money in a lot of places. Even when banks were established the old people were afraid to put their money in them.
    The people used to hide it in tins and they used to take a stone out of the wall and put the tins into the wall. They sometimes dug a hole in the ground and put the money into it. They put auger holes in the rafters of the house and hid their gold coins in these holes.
