    times match-making was made in the district but at present it is not customary.
    In olden times it was a custom for the men to race on horses and whoever got to the house first got a bottle of whiskey. In olden times the bride was brought home on horse-back.
    When a man gets married the parents of the bride gives her a sum of money called a fortune or dowry. When the bride is a month married she goes home on the month's visit for a few days.
