- It is said that there are signs in the sky by which people can judge the weather.
If there is a red sunset the next day will be good, but if there is a golden sunset the next day will be wet.
A halo round the moon is the sign of a storm and if it is near it, the storm will be soon.
If there is a rainbow in the sky in the morning it is a sign of rain but if the rainbow is in the sky in the evening it is the sign of a good day.
When swallows are seen flying low it is a sign of rain and when they fly high it is a sign of good weather.
When spiders creep from their cobwebs there will be rain.
It is said when the curlew calls there will be rain.
When looking across water if we see reflection of houses on the far side it is a sign of rain.
