  1. If a person has mumps he is supposed to get better if he walks under a donkey or a horse.
    If a person has a sty on his eye and prick it with a gooseberry thorn and throw it over his shoulder the eye will be cured.
    For warts it is a good thing to rub them every day with washing soda.
    Another cure is to pick up a black snail and rub it to the warts. Take the snail and stick it on a thorn bush and as it disappears the wart will disappear.
    A nettle sting is cured by applying a dock leaf and saying "Dock go in and nettle go out"
    Some people are supposed to possess the ability to cure various things.
    There is a certain kind of rub which some persons have which has the power to cure a sprain.
    They say certain words and the person must have faith that he can be cured by this rub. This power to heal is passed down from one person to another.
