    Oh bad-cess to my dreaming
I'd die, if I thought it wd come for to pass
I dreamt while the tears down my pillow on streaming
That teddy was courting another fair lass
It was then I awoke with a sigh and a sobbing,
The thoughts of my grief was too much to conceal.
When mother cries "Nora! What are you ailing?"
And all I could answer was "Teddy O Neill"
I saw the mud cabin he danced his wild jigs -
As neat a mud-cabin as ever you seen
Considering there used the poultry and pigs kept in
Indeed it was always most decent and kept clean.
