  1. A fog over Corkra bog in the evening is a sign of good weather!
    (Corkra about 1/2 mile from Maghera).
    A rainbow in the morning is the shepherds warning. A rainbow at night is the shepherds delight.
    If soot falls down the chimney it is a sure sign of rain.
    When snow is melting off after a snow storm, and patches still remain around fences and in hollows, it is said that it is waiting for another snow falls:
