on the road beside which it was built This man interfered no further with the fort. This happened about fifty years ago.
In Killinenaugh Fort there is a round hole in ground, in centre of fort shaped like a fort. It's local name is the Killie(kiln) fort - supposed to be used for drying corn before the mills were started. About sixty years ago the local youngsters used to go with dogs to that 'pot' and hold the dog's head in the centre of the 'pot.' The dog used to squeal until taken out quickly.
