My grandfather Bernard Slowey of Lisarney, Cootehill said he would root a lone bush...

My grandfather Bernard Slowey of Lisarney, Cootehill said he would root a lone bush which grew (and is still growing) in the middle of a garden opposite his door. He commenced to root it by digging away the clay and soil around it. When he was some time digging for some time he lost his sight and was blind. When he noticed this he went down on his knees and threw back the soil into the hole again. When this was done his sight returned to him as quickly as he lost it. This bush has never been interfered with since and is still growing there still.
