  1. The most ancient graveyard in the locality is Clonocey. it is situated in the townland of Clonocey, about a quarter of a mile from the road from gannon's cross to Belturbet.
    There was an Abbey there at one time and the graveyard was the burial - place of the monks. There is no trace of even the ruins of the Abbey now. A font is there which is always full of water. People dip their hands with warts as a cure. The warts then wither.
    A tunnel stretched from under the Abbey to an unknown place. This is now closed up as a man went to find out where it went and he never re-appeared.
    There is a number of old tomb stones in the graveyard with strange undecipherable inscriptions.
