    man went to the poet and got him to make a poem, and this he gave to the man who owned the heifer and the man was so pleased with it that he gave him two shirts.

    There was a local poet names J Gallacher. Here is a verse that he made up about some of his neighbours.
    "About the Murphy women I mean to let you know
    There all on ordinary function,
    Where ever they do go.
    Some of them are outmouthed
    Others want the teeth.
    And the all stop at Murphy
    with the crooked foot."
