  1. There are two Fairy Forts about a mile from the town of Belturbet.
    One is in Roskeragh and the other in Bunn. They are not within view of each other.
    The Fort in Roskeragh is on a hill and is circular in shape. It is in the centre of a field belonging to Mr. Hynch. There are trees round it and grass in the middle.
    It is said that there is a pot of gold buried under one of the trees and that a fairy is seen at the fort every Christmas Eve. Nearly everyone who goes into this Fort carves his or
