- Clonosey is one of the oldest graveyards in the district. It is about two miles north east of Belturbet. Half an acre is the area of it. There is said to have been a monastery there. Most of the tombstones are covered with moss. There is one corner for unbaptized children. It is surrounded by a hedge. There was once a church there but all that remains is a few stones. Some of writing is worn away by the rain and wind.(continues on next page)
