    You Ulster fine heroes I pray you'll attend

    (continued from previous page)
    III
    If tis seven years since you had a sweetheart
    And seven more since you did see him,
    Seven more will you wait upon him
    And perhaps that young man you'll never see.
    If he is sick I wish him better;
    If he is dead I wish him rest
    But if he's alive he will come back to me
    He pledged his word and hell keep his tryst.
    IV
    He put his hand into his pocket,
    His fingers they being thin and small;
    Between them he held out a gold ring.
    And when she saw it down she did fall.
    He took her up into his arms
    And gave her kisses tenderly
    Saying I'm your true love, your single sailor
    That's come from sea, live, to wed with thee.
