    done away with in Feb. 1903, but it commenced again about four years ago. It was then carried on for about two years, but as as no stock attended it, it could not be held any longer.
    The local fairs of Achboy are held in the town at present. Formerly they were held on the Mall. Several people sold and bought cattle, sheep, and pigs at farmers houses and at crossroads. This is still done.
    The pig fair of Achboy was held on the Mall formerly, It was considered it more convenient to hold it on the street.
    When the animal is sold the halter is given away with him to lead him.
    The fair of Athboy is supposed to be the best
