  1. The people in olden times had three meals during the day. The meals were eaten at nine o'clock in the morning, twelve o'clock at noon and seven o'clock in the evening.
    In harvest time the men would be working in the fields and porridge would be brought out to them for their breakfast. At the time they would be digging the potatoes there would be a fire in the field and they would roast the potatoes for the men working.
    The supper consisted of potatoes, salt and buttermilk. The potatoes were put out on a flat
