    her horse a drink.
    As she rode near the edge of the lake something frightened the horse and he slipped, falling himself, and bringing his rider with him, into the lake. Both were drowned. Every night since then the lady is to be seen riding the white horse round the lake.
    It is said that anyone who goes down to the lake on a moonlight night and looks into it gets anything that he or she wishes for; but I think it is very few people who dare to do so, as they fear the ghost.
