    4. Sore throat.
    The cure for a sore throat is to put roasted potatoes in a stocking and put it round the neck
    5. Burn
    A piece of flannel is got and it is put on a coal until it is burned into dust. Then it is gathered and put in a cloth and tied round the burn.
    Boils.
    Sugar is got and it is ground up and mixed with white soap. Then it is put on a white cloth and left on the boil.
    7. Wild fire.
    A coal is taken out of the fire and the sign of the Cross is
