They usually sell dear up-to-date articles such as jewellery, spectacles and dear laces of every description. Undoubtedly they are very friendly even to strangers and describe to them about all their wanderings and the different types of people with which they have come in contact.
Travelling folk are not as welcome now to the houses as they were in days gone by.
