    bush with a nest on it and some coloured ribbons tied on the top of it and they go from house to house collecting money.
    On Bridget's Eve a ribbon is put out and it is said that if anyone in the house gets a headache and if this was tied round the sick persons head it would cure the sickness.
    On May Eve it is a custom to shake holy water on the four corners of the fields.
