- Once upon a time there was a man in the neighbourhood who was a labourer. It was his custom to go home once a week with his washing. The same man was very fond of music. He always kept a fife and used to be playing it every night. There was an old lady in the locality who died. She was an Orange woman. So it happened the night she died this labouring man was at home and when returning back again he was playing the fife. Some "boys" heard the music and said they would give him a fright. So they got into an ambush and took off their coats and hats and hung them on the gate.
