  1. There used be many fairs around that are not there now. There used be a fair in Labasheeda once a month and in Kilmurry once a month and they are only held once a year now. There used be a fair in Ballykett quarterly and is there yearly now.
    Raddle is put on the cattle to show they are sold and tole is collected for trespass. There is a fair held in Kildysart over a month for cattle and once a fortnight for pigs. What stopped the fairs was faction fights where many people used get hurt.
