  1. There are a lot of fairy forts in this county. There is a fort in Ballomonia. There was a fir tree growing in the centre of it. A man cut down the tree and the fairies were vexed with him and there was a young child in the man's house that cut the tree down and the fairies keep the child. The man had to leave the tree he cut down he had to leave back the tree in the fort before he got back the child.
