- I live in the townland of Tunnyfoyle. It is about a mile and a half in length. There are fifteen inhabited houses in it. There are two (houses) families named Cundelan, two named Rielly and two named Clarke in it. There are families named Mc Cabe, Watson, Colman, Dowd, Ryan, Meehan, McDonald, Kelly, and McManus living in it also There are a (shool) school and a cottage and a shop in it. There are five slatted houses and ten thatched ones in it. There are two rivers running through Tunnyfoyle. Tunnyfoyle is four miles west of Bailieboro There are fifty eight people living in it at present. There is one old woman in it. Her name is Mrs. Rose Clarke and she is eighty four years of age. She is my grandmother. There are twenty six men and thirty two women in it. another old woman is Mrs Cundelan and she is eighty three years of age.
