    He could run from McCabe's Cross to the Chapel Cross which was about a mile in ten minutes. He could jump five feet high and twelve feet long.
    He was a great swimmer and diver and he once saved a boy from drowning in a river. The boy's name was Ned Tackney. A few years ago he went to America and joined the American Army.
