composed a lovely song on "Poulty Falls".
Poulty is situated in the townland of Latully, Cootehill, Co. Cavan. There is a Mass Rock in which Mass was said in the penal days.
Eddie McKenna fought in the Boer War and when he came home he got a pension out if it.

Our Isle has many a famous place,
    From Antrim to Cape Clear,
Renowned in song and legend grand,
That I so love to hear.
But none whose name has won such fame
    No matter where you go,
As Pulty Falls these rare old Falls
    Where fresh the breezes blow.
    2.
I hear them talk of early life,
    Those happy hopeful days,
When side by side with comrades dear
We climbed these steep old braes
To pluck the berries rich and ripe
    In summer long ago,
Round Pulty Falls these rare old Falls
    Where fresh the breezes blow.
