  1. Mary Hartigan and Tom Fahy were neighbours and "they were great" for 20 years but Tom seemed to have no notion of "popping the question".
    Mary was getting tired of the neighbours asking her when was "the night" to be and she made up her mind she's "put it up" to Tom. The very next night when Tom called on his cuaird to Mary's house. Mary said, "Tom, wouldn't it be time for ys to be getting married?" "Wisha whe'd have us now Mary asthore " said he.
