- The children long ago would not wear shoes untill the would be twenty years. Once there was a man living in our village his name was Tom Moran and he would never wear a shoe. Once when he was about sixteen years he was going to England he said he would take his fathers pair of clogs while he would be going across and he would sent them home to him again. But when he was putting them on he broke the whang of the clog then when he do that he got angry and he struk the little window they had, to shoe(continues on next page)
