- There is a forge in this district, it is situated in the village of Aylmore. It is of a quadrangular shape, with a thatched roof, and the door is very low.It is built very near a cross-road. The blacksmith works there every day. He shoes horses, and he makes gates, and hasps of doors, he puts a point on picks, he also makes tongs, and a number of other things out of iron.People sometimes put a horse shoe over the door for they say that they would(continues on next page)
