During the penal days in Ireland, there was a man around here called "Sean A Sagart", for he was a spy paid by the English to find out the hiding-places of priests, so that they might be put to death. At that time five pounds was offered to anybody who could give up a priest's head. There was at this time a young priest just ordained. He was going along the road to try and find some lonely spot, in which he might read Mass undisturbed. Night came on, and meeting a man on the road, he asked
