  1. The Landlord of this place was Lord Sligo. The people looked on him as a bad man He put my grandfather's father out of his land although he had his rent paid. He put a favourite of his own in the place. Then he gave him land where we are now but it was a mountain nearly all of it. My great grandfather had to build a house and bring over his hay oats and potatoes a mile and a half on his back. He then began to till the mountain
