    pick up seven stones and go around the fire seven times. As they go round they say Our Father. At the end of each Our Father they throw away a stone. When they are going home they take a coal with them and throw it in their crops so that no harm or blight will come on the crops.

    Every family has a bonfire of it's own. A bunch of violets is thrown out.
