There's a little townland, that will brighten your eye.
With its little thatched homes, and its meadows so green.
Just a bit of Roscommon called Culinatreen.

Where I found peace and quiet and enjoyed my dhudeén.
When the hay was all saved, and the meadows raked clean.
Sure the Angels smiled down upon Culinatreen.I had duck-eggs for breakfast and hen-eggs "go leór".

I was coaxed to eat more and the tea you could walk on
With rich yellow cream.
