    Long ago there were holty wells - one of them was Lasar well near Kilronan castle it cured sore eyes, Rheumatism Deafness, bone disease and many others. The cure for ringworm is the seventh son or the seventh daughter by putting a worm in the childs hand seven hours after been born.
    A Posthumous child has a cure for a pain in the back or a sore mouth.
    If a boy or girl be born on any day during Whit week there is a drowning on the water for them or a disappointment in marriage.
