    They were made from wool "bainíns" are still worn by the old men of this district.
    Frize Jackets were also made from wool. A certain amount of black wool was mixed with the same amount of white wool. In this way a grey colour was produced.
    The underwear was made of linen. This was made from flax which was grown in almost every district in Ireland. Sheets and tablecloths were also home made from flax.
